Arrive at Guwahati Airport and get transferred directly toward Shillong — approximately 130 kms and 3.5 hours drive through scenic Northeast landscapes. En route, stop at the stunning Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani Lake — a magnificent manmade reservoir spread over 220 square kilometres offering kayaking, water cycling, boating, and scooting activities on its shimmering waters. Continue to Shillong, check in to your hotel, freshen up, and if time permits, visit the beautiful Cathedral of Mary. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
After an early breakfast, begin your full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee — one of the wettest places on earth. En route, stop at the breathtaking Duwan Sing Syiem viewpoint for panoramic misty valley views with a hot cup of coffee. In Cherrapunjee, visit the thundering Seven Sisters Falls and the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls, then explore the mysterious Mawsmai Cave on foot. Enjoy lunch at Cherrapunjee before driving back to Shillong. Spend your evening strolling through the lively Police Bazar market area. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out and begin your long but scenic drive to Kaziranga — approximately 290 kms and 6.5 hours through lush Assam landscapes and tea garden countryside. Check in to your Kaziranga resort and freshen up. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Assamese cultural dance show featuring the famous Bihu dance performed by local youth at Kohora auditorium or the Orchid and Biodiversity Park nearby. This cultural experience is truly unmissable and gives a wonderful glimpse into Assam's rich living traditions. Return to resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Rise early for the highlight of this entire journey — an exhilarating elephant ride through Kaziranga's tall grasslands between 5:30 AM and 7:30 AM, spotting the iconic Indian one-horned rhinoceros up close in its natural habitat. Return to resort for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, set out for a thrilling jeep safari through the Central or Western Range of Kaziranga National Park — home to the Big Five: Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros, Indian Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Eastern Swamp Deer, and Wild Water Buffalo, plus 478 recorded bird species. Afternoon, visit a local Assamese village and view the sprawling tea gardens from outside. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati Airport — approximately 4 hours. If time permits en route, seek powerful blessings at the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India's most revered Shakti Peethas situated on Nilachal Hill overlooking Guwahati city. Please note the temple remains closed daily between 1 PM and 3 PM. Transfer to Guwahati Airport to connect to your onward flight back home. Your extraordinary Northeast India experience concludes with wonderful memories, wildlife encounters, and cultural richness that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Yes. One elephant ride session and one full round of jeep safari including all Kaziranga National Park entry fees are fully included in your package cost. Any additional safari rounds or optional activities will be charged separately at actuals during the tour.
The best time to visit is between October and April. Kaziranga National Park remains closed from May to October due to monsoon flooding. Shillong and Cherrapunjee are beautiful year-round but receive heavy rainfall between June and September. We recommend November to March for the most comfortable and rewarding experience.
