Starting with the scenic drive from Guwahati to Shillong via the stunning Umiam Lake, you will explore the cloud-covered hills of Meghalaya’s capital city. The tour then takes you to Cherrapunjee — one of the wettest places on earth — for breathtaking views of Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls, followed by the famous Mawsmai Cave. You will then travel to Kaziranga National Park, home to two-thirds of the world’s endangered one-horned rhinoceros population, for an unforgettable early morning elephant ride and thrilling jeep safari. On your final day, Guwahati welcomes you with the powerful Kamakhya Temple and a magical evening cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River.

Arrive at Guwahati Airport and board your private vehicle for a scenic 130 km drive to Shillong. En route, stop at the magnificent Umiam Lake — a vast manmade reservoir spread over 220 square kilometres, offering kayaking, water cycling, scooting, and boating activities on its shimmering blue waters. Check in to your hotel in Shillong and freshen up. If time permits, visit the beautiful Cathedral of Mary — a peaceful colonial-era church in the heart of the city. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Begin your day early after breakfast and set off for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, approximately 60 km from Shillong. En route, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem Viewpoint for sweeping valley views with a hot cup of coffee or Maggi in the crisp mountain air. In Cherrapunjee, visit the roaring Seven Sisters Falls and the dramatic Nohkalikai Falls — among India's highest. Explore the fascinating Mawsmai Cave on foot. Enjoy lunch in Cherrapunjee before driving back to Shillong. Spend your evening strolling around lively Police Bazar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After a relaxed breakfast, check out and begin your 290 km scenic drive to Kaziranga — approximately 6.5 hours through the lush green hills and plains of Assam. Arrive at Kaziranga by late afternoon and check in to your resort. In the evening, enjoy a captivating cultural dance performance showcasing the vibrant folk traditions of Assam — a warm and colorful welcome to the heart of Northeast India. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Rise early for the highlight of your entire Northeast journey — Kaziranga National Park, home to two-thirds of the world's endangered Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros population and the magnificent Big Five: Rhinoceros, Indian Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Eastern Swamp Deer, and Wild Water Buffalo. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers with nearly 478 recorded bird species.
Begin at 5:30 AM with a thrilling elephant ride through the dense grasslands for an up-close wildlife encounter. Return to the resort for breakfast. Post breakfast, head out for one round of jeep safari through the Central or Western Range. In the afternoon, visit a local Assamese village, a sprawling tea garden for an outer view, and the beautiful Orchid and Biodiversity Park. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, seek powerful blessings at the legendary Kamakhya Temple — one of the 51 Shakti Peethas — perched atop Nilachal Hill overlooking the city. Visit the Assam State Museum to explore the rich heritage and history of the Northeast (closed on Mondays). In the evening, enjoy a breathtaking optional cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River at direct payment. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

The best time to visit is between October and April. Kaziranga National Park remains open from November to April. Shillong and Cherrapunjee are beautiful year-round, though the monsoon season from June to September brings heavy rainfall and lush green landscapes.
